The holidays are one of the most delightful times of year with festive affairs like holiday traveling, entertaining family, gift giving and lots of parties. We cherish this season because aside from all the large-scale events and activities going on, there are countless simple experiences that can help renew happiness and a feeling of tranquility – even amongst all the hustle and bustle! Plus, many studies show that staying happy and stress free are great ways to keep your heart healthy...

Below are some of our team’s favorite less-complicated holiday activities, to help remind you to sit back and truly appreciate all the season has to offer!

  1. Listen to festive music or sing along to your favorites with friends and family
  2. Cuddle up in front of a warm fire with a cup of hot cider or cocoa
  3. Bake holiday cookies and then share them with those you love
  4. Make a donation to a local food bank to help provide for those in need
  5. Travel to a real tree farm to pick out your own holiday tree – the experience is one-of-a-kind!
  6. Take a brisk walk and enjoy the crisp winter air
  7. If you live in an area where it snows – embrace your inner child and make snow angels or build a snowman
